Historic Afghanistan‑India T20 clash scheduled in New Delhi

A three‑match T20 International series between Afghanistan and India is set to unfold at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium on 13, 15 and 17 September. Though the games will be played on Indian turf, Afghanistan will be recorded as the host – the first instance of an Afghan‑hosted series on Indian ground.

In a short span, Afghanistan has carved a niche in world cricket, upsetting established sides in both ODIs and T20s. Yet, success against India remains the missing piece of their puzzle.
