ICC Announces New Deputy Chair, Strengthening African Cricket Leadership

The ICC board has confirmed the appointment of Tavengwa Mukhuwahani as deputy chairperson, a role he will hold until November 2027. As the only African member on the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee, Mukhuwahani brings extensive governance experience. His new position is seen as a boost for the continent’s cricket ambitions, especially ahead of the 2027 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia.
