India’s medal haul in Commonwealth Games 2026 highlighted by Gulveer Singh’s bronze

New Delhi – As the 2026 Commonwealth Games entered their tenth day, India’s overall medal count rose to 16, including seven gold medals.

Among the standout performances was Gulveer Singh’s bronze in the men’s 10,000 m, which completed his double‑medal run after winning silver in the 5,000 m earlier.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted Singh’s achievement as a historic milestone for Indian athletics, while also applauding the nation’s boxers and judoka who added gold, silver and bronze to the tally.
