India Under-19 Team Announces Squad and Upcoming Series Details

The Cricket Association of Bengal announced on 31 August that wicket‑keeper‑batter Abhipray Biswas has been named in India’s Under‑19 roster. The young cricketer arrived at Eden Gardens with his mother and was personally congratulated by CAB president Saurav Ganguli, who also presented him with two new cricket bats.

Senior officials – secretary Babul Koley, vice‑president Nitish Ranjan Dutta and treasurer Sanjay Das – were present to witness the hand‑over and to wish Biswas success.

Ganguli advised Biswas to compete with confidence and keep his sights on breaking into Bengal’s senior team as well as the full Indian side.

The Under‑19 itinerary features a three‑match One‑Day International series in Rajkot on 18, 21 and 23 September. Following the ODIs, the team will play two red‑ball multi‑day matches: a four‑day encounter in Rajkot (27‑30 September) and another at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (B ground) from 5‑8 October.

Also named in the squad are Aryveer Sahawag and Anvay Dravid, sons of former Indian greats, who will be part of the ODI series against Australia Under‑19. The official line‑ups list Lakshya Raichandani as captain for the ODIs, with Yashwardhan Chauhan as vice‑captain, while the red‑ball side will see Chauhan leading and Raichandani as his deputy.
