Indian Pickleball Teams Collect 41 Medals Across Categories in Da Nang

At the Da Nang venue of the Pickleball World Cup, Indian players walked away with a combined 41 medals. The haul comprised 7 gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze, lifting the nation to fourth place in the overall standings.

The competition featured Kids, Juniors, Open, Seniors and Masters team events, each fielding a mix of seasoned and upcoming talent. Notably, the Junior team reached the quarter‑finals before being edged out by the host nation, Vietnam, and secured the fourth position.

Individual successes were plentiful: Purush Patel captured gold in the Under‑18 Boys Singles, while Bhushan Akut bagged three gold medals in the 60+ men’s categories alongside partner Ashok Rohira. These performances underscored India's growing depth in the sport.
