India’s All‑Rounder Deepthi Sharma Talks Strategy Ahead of Sri Lanka Clash

Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the women’s Asia Cup final on September 13, pitting India against Sri Lanka for the third consecutive edition. Deepthi Sharma, India’s leading all‑rounder, warned that the team will treat the encounter with full seriousness. Although India has a better overall record, Sharma highlighted that Sri Lanka’s side is equipped with capable youngsters and a strong core.

Addressing the media, Sharma said, “We know they are a good team with upcoming talent, so every match against them is a tough one. We will not take any opponent lightly, especially Sri Lanka.” She stressed that the focus will be on self‑improvement and executing the game plan developed throughout the tournament.

When pressed for tactical insights, Sharma declined to share specifics but confirmed that India has formulated strategies after reviewing Pakistan’s semi‑final performance. She underscored that every over, especially the 40‑over full innings, can determine the outcome, and the team is prepared for variable pitch behavior.
