Although the initial intent was to analyse the T20I defeats to England and Ireland and the one‑day series loss to England, the session was postponed in favor of the Zimbabwe T20 tour and the successful Sri Lanka Test series (India won 3‑0 in Tests and 1‑0 in ODIs).
According to insiders, the September agenda will review the senior men’s team’s latest results, distinguishing between effective strategies and areas that need correction. A major topic will be the injury status of fast‑bowling all‑rounder Hardik Pandya, especially as the board plans for New Zealand’s multi‑format tour, the domestic Border‑Gavaskar Trophy and the 2027 ODI World Cup.
The upcoming three‑match T20I series against Afghanistan, slated for September 13‑17 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, has already highlighted fitness dilemmas. Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar, Nitesh Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana have been drafted as temporary replacements.
