    IPL 2025: The effect of increasing tension between India and Pakistan is now visible on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. In view of the current situation, the BCCI (BCCI) has seriously started considering the possibility of postponing the league. According to sources, the emergency meeting of the board is going on and sending foreign players to their country is the first priority of BCCI at this time.

    Match canceled in Dharamshala, HPCA Stadium was evacuated

    In view of the rising danger, the ongoing match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was canceled in the middle today. Also, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium at Dharamshala was evacuated. A special Vande Bharat train has been arranged from Dharamshala to Delhi to send the players to a safe place.

    BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia’s statement

    Speaking to the media, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “Keeping everything in mind, we have decided to cancel the match of 8 May. The current situation is not right. The neighboring country is trying to spoil the atmosphere. The safety of players, spectators and staff is at the top of us. We will take every necessary steps in the country.”

    According to BCCI sources, the decision to temporarily postpon the entire tournament can be taken at any time if the situation has not improved. Visa, travel safety and match sites of foreign players are being reviewed rapidly.
