Veteran England fast bowler James Anderson is making waves in the T20 format at the age of 42. Returning to the Vitality Blast after an 11-year hiatus, Anderson has impressed for Lancashire, taking 7 wickets in just 3 matches with an average of 10.14 and an economy rate of 6.45. His best performance this season was 3 wickets for 17 runs against Durham. Anderson, who boasts 991 international wickets, recently admitted he now regrets not playing more T20 cricket over the past decade. He expressed his enjoyment of the format and his desire to keep improving. He has also highlighted the tactical differences between Test and T20 cricket. Despite his comeback, he went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction and was not selected in The Hundred draft.
