The stage is set for the final of the UP T20 League 2025, scheduled for September 6th. In Qualifier-2 on August 4th, a bowler wreaked havoc against the Lucknow Falcons. Right-arm fast bowler Kartik Tyagi unleashed a fiery spell, clocking speeds of 150 KMPH and dismissing three Lucknow batsmen. In a single over, he turned the game with two crucial wickets. He also contributed with a run-out. This stellar performance by Tyagi ensured his team, Meerut Mavericks, reached the final without Rinku Singh, where they will face Kashi Rudras.
Tyagi dominated the match, delivering a crucial spell. The Lucknow Falcons, chasing a target of 144 runs, started aggressively, scoring 42 runs in the first six overs. However, Tyagi struck, removing Lucknow’s opener Abhay Pratap Singh. The turning point came when he took two wickets in a single over, bowling at 150 KMPH.
Tyagi finished the match with impressive figures of 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. He also bowled 9 dot balls.
