The auction for the fourth season of the SA20 T20 League of South Africa took place in Johannesburg. Record-breaking bids were seen during this event. Along with this, Sunrisers Eastern Cape has also announced the new captain for the next season.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape announced the new captain. Sunrisers Eastern Cape has announced star wicketkeeper-batsman Tristan Stubbs as their captain for the SA20 2026 season. Tristan Stubbs has been a part of this team since the first season. He will replace two-time champion captain Aiden Markram. Markram led Sunrisers to the title in 2023 and 2024. In the recent SA20 auction, he joined Durban Super Giants (DSG) for a record amount of 7 crore rupees. Due to this, Sunrisers Eastern Cape had to choose a new captain.
