Lahore High Court Rejects Rizwan’s Petition Over NCCIA Investigation

In a swift ruling on Thursday, the Lahore High Court dismissed Rizwan’s petition that sought to halt the NCCIA’s questioning. The cricketer had argued that the agency failed to explain why it was interrogating him and that it lacked jurisdiction over the matter.

The court found no merit in the claim and upheld the agency’s right to pursue its inquiry. The decision came shortly after Rizwan and teammate Imam-ul‑Haqq appeared before the NCCIA in Lahore over alleged leaks of dressing‑room information.

While Imam answered all queries, Rizwan opted to challenge the process in court, a move that was ultimately rejected by the judiciary.
