Legendary All‑rounder Dwayne Bravo’s Jersey Retired by Trinbago

The Trinbago Knight Riders have officially retired the number 47 jersey of West Indies star Dwayne Bravo, making him the first CPL player to receive such a distinction. Bravo’s record in the league includes 107 appearances and 129 wickets, ranking him third among the tournament’s most successful bowlers after Sunil Narine and Imran Tahir. After hanging up his international boots, Bravo transitioned to coaching, guiding the Knight Riders to five championship titles between 2015 and 2025 and serving as captain in 2017 and 2018. He also captained the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in 2021. At the retirement ceremony, CEO Venky Mausur emphasized that the jersey’s removal safeguards Bravo’s legacy for future generations. Current captain Nicholas Pooran praised Bravo’s mentorship, while former captain Kieron Pollard expressed heartfelt thanks for the guidance he received.
