    LSG vs SRH IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants out of playoff race, Hyderabad defeated by 6 wickets

    LSG vs SRH IPL 2025: In the 61st match of IPL season 18, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 6 wickets to drop them out of the playoff race. In this match played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, SRH achieved the target of 206 runs by losing 4 wickets in 18.5 overs.

    Abhishek Sharma, who was the hero of SRH’s victory, played a brilliant innings of 59 runs. At the same time, Heinrich Klassen played a fiery innings of 47 runs and Kamindu Mendis remained unbeaten. SRH has won a total of 4 matches so far this season. However, Hyderabad is already out of the playoff race.

    SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose bowling. From LSG, Mitchell Marsh (65) and Eden Markram (61) scored half -centuries. Nicholas Puran also scored 45 runs and the team scored 205 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Ishaan Malinga took 2 wickets for SRH, while Harshal Patel, Nitish Reddy and Harsh Dubey got 1-1 success.

    Debate between Abhishek and Rathi

    A controversy was also seen during the match, when LSG bowler Digvesh Rathi and SRH batsman Abhishek Sharma got into a debate. After dismissing Abhishek, Digvesh performed an aggressive celebration, on which Abhishek was enraged. The field umpires intervened and pacified the matter.

    LSG’s playoff expectations are over

    With this defeat, the playoff race for Lucknow Super Giants has ended. The team is now left behind in the table and the remaining matches cannot improve the situation.
