Maharashtra Expands Eligible Sports for Government Job Reservations

The revised quota now covers a broader list of sports, including traditional games such as Kabaddi, Kho‑Kho, Chess and Mallakhamb, alongside Olympic and Paralympic disciplines. Eligibility is granted to athletes who have participated in at least three consecutive Summer Olympic events after 2005, as well as medal winners of the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and other major multi‑sport events. Senior, youth and junior category winners of recognised federation events, School Games (U‑19), Khelo India Games and the All‑India Inter‑University Championship also qualify.
