Indian Kudo athlete Mohd. Sohail Khan has achieved the second-highest ranking in Asia within the Adult Male -250 PI category. This ranking was announced prior to the Kudo Asian Championship 2025, scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan from November 1st to 4th. Khan is positioned just behind Ryota Ondera of Japan, who earned eight points after winning gold at the 6th Kudo World Championships. Sohail Khan holds five points, with four points from his silver medal at the Kudo World Cup 2025 in Bulgaria and one point from his bronze medal at the 2024 Eurasian Cup. Another Japanese fighter, Tsubasa Terasaka, occupies the third position with one point. Khan secured his place in the Asian Championship after excelling in the national selection trials held in Surat in August, where he defeated Biri Tasso and Abhimanyu Godara. Khan will compete in the upcoming Kudo Asian Championship with the goal of attaining the top podium finish. His preparations include competing in the Kudo National Tournament, the Federation Cup, and the Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament in Surat before heading to Tokyo.
