Indian cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni has inaugurated a new sports venture, ‘7Padel,’ in Chennai. This new initiative aims to promote emerging sports like paddle tennis and pickleball. Dhoni launched the sports venture alongside Chennai Super Kings player Ruturaj Gaikwad and renowned musician Anirudh Ravichander. The 7Padel center spans a vast 20,000 square feet area in Chennai, featuring three paddle tennis courts and one pickleball court. The facility also includes amenities such as a swimming pool, gym, recovery room, and a cafe. 7Padel is open not only to professional athletes but also to the general public and sports enthusiasts. Dhoni’s connection with Chennai is well-known, strengthened by his long association with the Chennai Super Kings and the unwavering support of the city’s fans. Launching 7Padel, Dhoni described it as his symbol of gratitude to Chennai. He stated that Chennai has always been special to him and has given him much both on and off the field. He expressed his desire for 7Padel to become a place where athletes, families, and fitness enthusiasts can all find their place.
