India’s Neeraj Chopra, an Olympic and World Champion, is scheduled to participate in the World Athletics Championship 2025 in Tokyo, starting September 13. Chopra will begin his javelin throw campaign on September 17 with the qualification round, followed by the final on September 18. He aims to defend his world title, having secured the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships with an 88.17m throw. His performance edged out Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who won silver with a throw of 87.82m. Fans are highly anticipating a repeat of the India vs. Pakistan showdown. In addition to Chopra, Sachin Yadav, Yashvir Singh, and Rohit Yadav will also represent India in the javelin throw event. The competition will be broadcast live on Star Sports Network and streamed on JioCinema or Disney+ Hotstar.
