The Delhi Premier League (DPL) witnessed an exciting match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, as the New Delhi Tigers triumphed over the Outer Delhi Warriors by 40 runs in the third match of the season. The Tigers, batting first, faced an early setback with the dismissal of opener Dhruv Kaushik. However, captain Himmat Singh and Shivam Gupta forged a substantial partnership, propelling the team to a competitive score. Shivam Gupta scored 89 runs off 53 balls, including 8 boundaries and 4 sixes. Himmat Singh contributed 69 runs from 39 deliveries, providing stability to the innings. A late cameo by Keshav Dalal, who scored 19 runs off just 9 balls, further bolstered the Tigers’ total to 222, setting a new benchmark for the season. Anshuman Hooda of the Outer Delhi Warriors stood out, taking his first five-wicket haul of the season. In their chase, the Warriors saw a strong start from openers Priyansh Arya (26) and Sanat Sangwan (48), who built a 69-run partnership. Despite efforts from Shreshth Yadav (37) and Dhruv Singh (38), the Warriors were unable to reach the target.
