Nine KCL Players Among 12 Selected for Asian Games Kabaddi Team

Out of the twelve athletes chosen for the upcoming Asian Games, nine hail from the Kabaddi Champions League. The league’s franchises—Hisar Heroes, Karnal Kings, Sonepat Stars, Bhiwani Bulls, Gurugram Guruj, Faridabad Fighters and Panipat Panthers—have each contributed at least one player to the national roster.

The dominance of KCL talent demonstrates the league’s effectiveness in providing a competitive pathway from domestic franchises to the international arena. The three non‑KCL selections will join their league‑trained teammates, creating a blended squad that combines league experience with fresh perspectives.

Head coach Balwan Singh, who also chairs the KCL, highlighted the importance of this synergy: “Our players are battle‑tested in the league’s fast‑paced environment, and that readiness will be crucial when we face Asia’s top teams.”
