North Zone Bowled Out for 195 as South Zone Posts 285 in Semifinal Clash

Bangalore – In a tightly contested Dalip Trophy semi‑final, North Zone managed only 195 runs before being all out. Their batting faltered after early losses, with Sunth Sangwan dismissed for ten and a modest partnership of 53 between Kamran Iqbal and Ayush Dosa.

Kanhaiya Vadhwan and Kamran Iqbal steadied the innings later, adding 66 runs to cross the 150‑run mark. Kamran’s 76, which included ten fours and a six, was the top score, while Vadhwan contributed 35.

South Zone’s reply was more prolific. After a shaky start that saw five wickets fall for 80 runs, the side rallied behind a 175‑run stand between Tilak Varma and Shreyas Gopal. Gopal’s 88 and Varma’s unbeaten 106 propelled the side to 285 for nine in 94 overs, giving them a 90‑run lead.

Key bowling performances came from Vidwath Kaverappa (4/66) for South and Gurnoor Barar (4/70) for North. The match now stands in South Zone’s favor as the teams prepare for the final day's play.
