Competing in the 54 kg category, she outclassed Zambia’s Catherine Mwape with a unanimous 5‑0 decision in the semi‑final. Pawar paced the fight with a steady jab, crisp left‑hand punches and agile footwork, sending Mwape to the canvas for standing counts in the early rounds. Despite Mwape’s attempts to raise the tempo in the second round, Pawar remained composed, delivering clean combos that forced another count. All five judges favored Pawar, locking in at least a silver medal for India as she prepares to meet Canada’s Scarlet Delgado in the gold medal bout.
