PT Usha lauds Adani’s continued sponsorship of Indian Olympic Association

Former Olympian and Indian Olympic Association chief PT Usha welcomed the renewal of the Adani Group’s principal sponsorship. Speaking at a press briefing in Ahmedabad, Usha highlighted how the partnership has enabled Indian athletes to excel at major events such as the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026, where the nation secured 13 gold medals.

She stressed that the ongoing support will be crucial as Team India prepares for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya and for future ambitions, including the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad and a potential bid for the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Usha pointed out that corporate backing like Adani’s provides essential resources for training, travel, and high‑performance infrastructure. The sponsor’s broader sports ecosystem—ranging from grassroots academies to professional league franchises—creates a pipeline that nurtures talent from the local level to the international arena.

The Adani Group reiterated its commitment to Indian sport through initiatives such as the “Garv Hai” program, community‑driven events, and the upcoming 10th edition of the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon scheduled for November 29.
