The Indian women's table tennis team saw its medal dream dissolve after a 0‑3 loss to North Korea in the quarter‑finals of the 2026 Asian Games held in Nagoya. Shrija Akula, Yashaswini Ghorpade and Diya Chitale were unable to claim a single game, succumbing with scores of 7‑11, 6‑11, 5‑11; 4‑11, 3‑11, 6‑11; and 9‑11, 7‑11, 8‑11 respectively. The North Korean side completed a clean sweep, advancing to the semi‑finals and ending India's campaign.
