Just 41 more runs will see him join an elite group of Indian cricketers to achieve this feat, becoming the fourth Indian and fourteenth overall to do so.

With de Villiers’ tally standing at 20,014 runs, Sharma needs a mere 56 runs in the upcoming match to surpass the Proteas legend. This adds another layer of anticipation to his performance.
