Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim believes the Mumbai Indians hold a favorable position heading into Qualifier 2 against the Punjab Kings. Karim noted the momentum MI possesses, adding that their strong bowling attack makes them a formidable team. He also expressed his hope for Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans, wishing for their team to win the Indian Premier League for the first time.

Karim’s comments were made during the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ initiative in Delhi. He highlighted that MI’s strong performance against Gujarat Titans in the eliminator, where they defended a score of 228, further solidified their position.

Additionally, Karim spoke on the upcoming India tour of England, anticipating a good performance from the young squad under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. He emphasized the importance of this tour for the young players, citing the depth of talent available and the opportunity to excel under a new captain. The tour begins on June 20 with the first Test in Leeds.

Karim also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for meeting Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old batter from Rajasthan Royals, highlighting his exceptional talent and the overall growth of the game.
