Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim has expressed his views on the upcoming Qualifier 2 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), favoring MI due to their current momentum. He also highlighted the potential benefit for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans if their team wins the Indian Premier League (IPL). Karim’s comments were made during the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ initiative in Delhi.
Analyzing the MI-PBKS qualifier, Karim stated that MI’s strong performance and bowling attack make them favorites. He also discussed the significance of Virat Kohli’s performance for RCB, hoping that the team can clinch the title this season. Kohli has been in exceptional form, accumulating 614 runs in 14 matches with a remarkable average and strike rate.
Karim also touched upon India’s upcoming tour of England, emphasizing the opportunity for a young team under new red-ball captain Shubman Gill. He noted the depth of talent and the chance for emerging players to showcase their skills in challenging conditions.
