Franchise auction for Sher-e-Punjab League set for August 9 with six regional teams

The first edition will feature six franchises representing Amritsar, Fazilka, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali and Bathinda. Each team can register a maximum of 20 players. The base price for a franchise slot is set at INR 4.5 million, with marquee players costing INR 1 million and icon players starting at INR 150,000. First‑class, Under‑23, Under‑19 and district players will have base prices of INR 100,000, INR 75,000, INR 50,000 and INR 20,000 respectively. The auction is scheduled for August 9, where owners will assemble squads ahead of the August‑30 kickoff.
