Spin duo Charni, Prema Ravat dismantle Pakistan top order

Dubai, September 5 – Spin bowling proved decisive in India’s triumph over Pakistan at the Women’s Asia Cup 2026. Off‑spinner Shri Charni opened the attack, delivering four overs that claimed three wickets for just seven runs. She removed Pakistan’s highest scorer Shawaal Zulifkar (14) and bowled out Gul Firoja without a run. Fellow spinner Prema Ravat followed with a compact spell of four overs, taking three wickets for nine runs. Their combined pressure forced Pakistan into a collapse, ending the innings at 55 all out. On the batting side, India chased down the 56‑run target in 8.4 overs, losing only three wickets. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur anchored the innings with an unbeaten 18, while Dipti Sharma added 12 runs. The partnership between Charni and Ravat highlighted India’s spin depth and was instrumental in securing the fourth‑largest T20 win margin in the country’s history.
