Sri Lanka Sets 15‑Man T20 Squad for 2026 Asian Games in Japan

On 22 September, Sri Lanka Cricket disclosed the 15 players chosen for the men's T20 competition at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi, Japan. Sahan Arache is captain and Niroshan Dickwela remains the wicket‑keeper.

Veteran batsmen Chamika Karunaratne and Nuwan Thushara anchor the lineup, while newcomers Aseen Bandara, Soham de Liva and Lasith Krusapura add depth. Leg‑spinner Vijayakanth Vyaskanth rounds out the attack.

The squad was reshaped after a 0‑3 series loss to England; only Thushara and Tharindu Ratnayake were retained. Binura Fernando rejoins after injury recovery.

Sri Lanka earned bronze in 2010, gold in 2014, and missed a medal in the 2023 Games.
