The Outer Delhi Warriors secured a comprehensive 82-run victory against Purani Dilli 6 in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) Season 2, match six, held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Warriors showcased a clinical bowling performance, primarily spearheaded by Suyash Sharma and Shaurya Malik. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Outer Delhi managed a modest score of 149. However, their bowlers quickly took control of the game. Suyash Sharma, the young leg-spinner, orchestrated an early collapse during the powerplay, dismissing three top-order batsmen: Samarth Seth, captain Vansh Bedi, and Pranav Pant. Aarush Malhotra also fell within the first six overs, leaving Purani Dilli 6 struggling at 31/4. The slide continued with a run-out and a double-wicket over by Shaurya Malik, further crippling Purani Dilli’s batting lineup. Suyash Sharma returned to claim his fourth wicket, while Harsh Tyagi contributed to the team’s dominance. Purani Dilli 6 was eventually bowled out for 66 in 14.3 overs. Earlier in the match, Outer Delhi had a promising start with Priyansh Arya and Sanat Sangwan, but a middle-order collapse ensued. Despite Udhav Mohan’s impressive five-wicket haul for Purani Dilli 6, timely runs from Siddhant Sharma and Harsh Tyagi helped Outer Delhi reach a competitive total. The combined brilliance of Suyash Sharma and Shaurya Malik made Outer Delhi’s score more than sufficient.
