Nagoya, 20 September — The Indian shooting contingent celebrated a collective silver when Ilavenil Valarivan, along with her teammates, posted a combined score of 1,898.0 in the women's 10 m air rifle team event.

Individually, Ilavenil narrowly missed the gold, finishing with 252.4 points, just 0.6 short of Japan's Hinata Taichi, who set a new Asian Games record of 253.0.

Now, the focus shifts to the mixed team 10 m air rifle competition. Ilavenil described her approach: "I will take today's learnings into tomorrow's training and then into the mixed doubles match. Each day is a fresh opportunity."
