South Africa’s Test squad for the upcoming two-match series against Zimbabwe has been announced, and it will be without the leadership of Temba Bavuma. Due to a left hamstring strain sustained during the ICC World Test Championship Final, Bavuma is sidelined. Keshav Maharaj will captain the team, with the series set to begin on June 28. The injury occurred while batting on day three of the WTC final. Bavuma, after experiencing the injury, continued to bat until the tea break, eventually being unable to continue. The squad includes five uncapped players, and key all-format players like Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada have been rested. Lungi Ngidi will only play in the second test.
