Three Years Without Land: Pant Requests Intervention from Pushkar Singh Dhami

Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicket‑keeper, has publicly appealed to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for help in acquiring a residential plot. Pant wrote that he has been trying for three years to purchase land in his home state, but the scarcity of clean, spacious sites has stalled his plans.

He specifically referred to a land promise made during a state‑promotion tour that remains unfulfilled. Pant urged the CM to look into the matter, noting his strong emotional connection to Uttarakhand and his desire to settle there permanently.

Originally from Rudki, Pant moved to Delhi to develop his cricketing career. He is currently stationed in Sri Lanka with the Indian team for a two‑match Test series beginning on August 15. After a period of underwhelming performances and fitness concerns, Pant aims to prove his worth in the upcoming series. He last featured in an ODI on 7 August 2024 and in a T20 on 28 July 2024, both against Sri Lanka.
