Strong finish sees Urs ahead as Indian players fight for top spots

The 13th leg of the Women’s Professional Golf Tour, staged at Gurgaon’s DLF Golf and Country Club, ended with Vidhatri Urs atop the standings after a 69‑stroke round. Urs overcame a three‑bogey start by delivering birdies on holes four, five, eight, nine and crucially on 13, 15 and 18, finishing three under par.

Only two golfers broke par – Urs and Jasmine Shekhar (71). Diksha Dagar and Mannat Barar posted even‑par 72, sharing third place, while Dagar prepares for the Asian Games next week.

The field also featured notable performances ahead of the Women’s Indian Open. Gaurika Bishnoi’s 73 (+1) paired her with Vani Kapoor for a joint fifth‑place finish; Kapoor’s record in the Indian Open remains noteworthy.

Urs’s resilience was evident when she erased a +2 deficit after the sixth hole by birdieing the eighth and ninth holes, returning to even par. The back‑nine saw her maintain momentum, adding birdies that secured her lead.

Other competitors such as Tvesa Malik, Nainika Sanga and Lavanya Jadhav tied for seventh at 74 (+2). A group of five players, including Ridhima Dilawari and Aditi Choudhary, shared tenth place with 75 (+3). The results reflect a competitive field with Indian talent poised for the upcoming season’s marquee events.
