A complaint has been filed against Virat Kohli at Cubbon Park Police Station following a deadly stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4. The complaint was lodged by H.M. Venkatesh, a senior social activist, who has raised questions regarding the incident. Police have assured that the complaint will be considered in conjunction with the existing FIR concerning the stampede. The tragedy unfolded after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) celebrated their IPL victory. The planned trophy parade was subsequently cancelled due to police directives. The stampede resulted in the deaths of eleven people and injuries to several others. An FIR has been registered against RCB, the event management company, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident, including the lack of adequate communication about the celebration from the RCB organization. Several senior police officers have been suspended, and a judicial commission is currently investigating the matter.
