New Delhi, September 17 – International retirement in 2024 paved the way for Matthew Wade’s latest decision: leaving the Big Bash League to concentrate on a coaching career. The 38‑year‑old former Australian wicket‑keeper, who spent his final BBL season with the Hobart Hurricanes, has amassed 119 matches, 2,978 runs and a century in the competition. His early BBL years were with the Melbourne Stars and Renegades before he returned to his home state of Tasmania.
