Women’s Asia Cup: India Targets 170 Runs Against Thailand
In the third fixture of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026, India aims to restrict Thailand to around 170 runs after the latter won the toss and elected to bowl. Thailand’s acting captain Thipcha Puthavong confirmed the injury absence of regular captain Narumol Chaivai, hoping the side can put up a competitive total.
India’s side, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will open with the seasoned duo of Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma. The team also welcomes fast‑bowling debutant Pratika Rawal, who joins the pace attack alongside Kranti Gawade and Nandini Sharma. All‑rounder Richa Ghosh is expected to provide firepower in the middle order, while the spin duo of Sree Charani and Dipti Sharma will look to apply pressure on the Thai batters.
