Teams are fiercely competing to assemble formidable squads for the upcoming season of this premier women’s cricket league. Notably, Australian captain Alyssa Healy surprisingly went unsold.

The league dates and venues have been announced for the 2026 season, with reports suggesting a January 8 or 9 start. Mumbai and Baroda have been finalized as the two host cities, with the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the Kotambi Stadium in Baroda slated to host matches. The D.Y. Patil Stadium recently hosted India’s historic ODI World Cup final victory.
Gujarat Giants have secured Sophie Devine for ₹2.00 crore, Renuka Singh Thakur for ₹0.60 crore, Bharti Fulmali (RTM) for ₹0.70 crore, Titas Sadhu for ₹0.30 crore, Kashvee Gautam (RTM) for ₹75 lakh, Kanika Ahuja for ₹30 lakh, Tanuja Kanwar for ₹45 lakh, Georgia Wareham for ₹1 crore, and Anushka Sharma for ₹45 lakh.
UP Warriorz have made strong additions, acquiring Deepti Sharma (RTM) for ₹3.2 crore, Sophie Ecclestone (RTM) for ₹0.85 crore, Meg Lanning for ₹1.90 crore, Phoebe Litchfield for ₹1.20 crore, Kiran Navgire (RTM) for ₹0.60 crore, Harleen Deol for ₹0.50 crore, Kranti Goud (RTM) for ₹0.50 crore, Asha Sobhana for ₹1.10 crore, Deandra Dottin for ₹80 lakh, and Shikha Pandey for ₹2.40 crore.
Mumbai Indians have brought back Amelia Kerr for ₹3.00 crore, along with Shabnim Ismail for ₹0.60 crore, Sanskruti Gupta for ₹0.20 crore, Sajeevan Sajana for ₹75 lakh, Rahila Firdous for ₹10 lakh, and Nicola Carey for ₹30 lakh.
Delhi Capitals have signed Laura Wolvaardt for ₹1.10 crore, Chinelle Henry for ₹1.30 crore, Shree Charani for ₹1.30 crore, Sneh Rana for ₹0.50 crore, Lizelle Lee for ₹0.30 crore, and Deeya Yadav for ₹0.10 crore.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have added Georgia Voll for ₹0.60 crore, Nadine de Klerk for ₹0.65 crore, Radha Yadav for ₹0.65 crore, Lauren Bell for ₹0.90 crore, Linsey Smith for ₹0.30 crore, Prema Rawat (RTM) for ₹0.20 crore, Arundhati Reddy for ₹75 lakh, and Pooja Vastrakar for ₹85 lakh.
The league is reportedly set to be played in two legs, commencing in Navi Mumbai and concluding in Baroda. Franchises will receive official venue confirmation during the auction.
