Young Indian Climbers Scale 20 New Summits, Raise Tricolor

A group of young mountaineers from NIMAS achieved a remarkable milestone by conquering twenty virgin peaks in Ladakh, each soaring above 6,000 metres. The climbers, many of whom are in their early twenties, completed the challenge in just 23 days, a timeline that underscores their stamina and determination.

The successful ascents underscore the institute’s role in nurturing the next generation of adventure athletes. Participants underwent rigorous physical conditioning, high‑altitude acclimatization, and technical climbing drills before embarking on the mission.
