Young Indian players debut as Russia clinches 4-0 win in Kolkata

Head coach Crispin Chhetri used the match to give international exposure to several newcomers. Baby Sana Devi Thingbaijam, Malti Munda, Cindy Kolni, Shubhangi Singh, Dhurga Perumal and Sibani Devi Nongmeikapm earned their first caps, while goalkeeper Monalisha Devi Moirangthem featured in her third senior outing. The fresh faces showed resolve, especially in the first half, but the experienced Russian squad ultimately proved too strong.
