Yuki Bhambri, a professional tennis player from India, has made a name for himself in the doubles circuit. Born on July 4, 1992, he turned professional in 2008. Bhambri, a right-handed player with a two-handed backhand, has achieved significant milestones in his career. In 2009, he became the Australian Open Junior Champion, a first for India. He also secured a silver and bronze medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, and bronze medals in both singles and doubles at the 2014 Asian Games. His career-high ranking reached No. 26 in March 2025.
Recently, Bhambri, along with his New Zealand partner Michael Venus, secured a spot in the men’s doubles semifinals of the 2025 US Open. The Indo-Kiwi duo defeated the 11th-seeded pair of Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 on Court 17 in New York. Bhambri, currently ranked world No. 32 and the top-ranked men’s doubles player in India, is set to face Britain’s Neal Skupski and Joe Sailsbury in the semi-final match. This achievement is particularly noteworthy, as Bhambri reached the pre-quarter finals at the US Open last year with Frenchman Albano Olivetti.
