The World Championship of Legends 2025, held in England, gained significant attention due to the India-Pakistan match. The Indian team boycotted two matches against Pakistan. However, other incidents related to the tournament also made headlines, including a 18-ball over bowled by former Australian all-rounder John Hastings. Hastings was in the news for this feat. Now, the Australian cricketer is again in the spotlight as he has disclosed an incident from about 14 years ago that occurred at a party hosted by former Indian star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh.
Hastings recently shared the details of this nearly 14-year-old event on a podcast. During the ‘Willow Talk’ podcast with former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin, the conversation turned to a party hosted by Yuvraj Singh, where this amusing incident took place with Hastings. This occurred during the 2011 World Cup when all teams, including Australia, were in India. Before the start of that World Cup, a practice match was played between India and Australia. Hastings was also a part of that match, which was held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
