Yuzvendra Chahal is set to rejoin Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, with the club announcing his return for the 2026 season. Following successful campaigns in 2024 and 2025, Chahal will once again represent Northamptonshire in the One-Day Cup and County Championship. The club expressed great enthusiasm, highlighting Chahal’s contribution of 31 wickets in his previous two County Championship spells. The addition of the Indian spinner, who has taken 217 wickets for India in his 7-year international career, is expected to significantly benefit the team in the upcoming season. Chahal himself expressed his excitement, stating his fondness for playing cricket at Northamptonshire, which he now considers a second home. He looks forward to contributing to the team’s success next year. Northamptonshire’s Head Coach, David Ripley, also welcomed Chahal’s return, emphasizing his importance to the team and his impressive track record. Chahal last played for India in August 2023.
