In the 36th National Games, Chhattisgarh’s softball women’s team defeated last time winners Kerala team by 1-0. In this thrilling match that lasted for 5 innings, the interest of the audience remained till the end. The Chhattisgarh softball women’s team leads the pool after beating hosts Gujarat and Kerala. Tomorrow Chhattisgarh’s match will be with Delhi. In today’s match, Kerala won the toss and decided to field first and asked Chhattisgarh to bat first. Kerala made a great start and dismissed Chhattisgarh’s first batsman Ganga Sona for zero in their strong pitching, but second batsman Anju Tandi fought Kerala’s strong pitching with great courage and managed to hit first base by hitting doing. After that Barkha Yadav of Chhattisgarh also helped Anju Tandi to reach third base with her batting. The batting did not progress further and Sonali Shaw hit a long hit which was caught and thus Sonali was out. But during this, Anju Tandi completed one run by performing excellent running. After this, Ganga Sona pitched very strongly in Chhattisgarh’s fielding and dismissed all the best batters of Kerala for zero. Thus, on the first inning, the team of Chhattisgarh went 1-0 ahead.
