Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, access to health facilities has become easier for the people living in remote rural areas through public welfare schemes of the government. Under the guidance of Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, the ambitious schemes of the government are being successfully implemented in the district. Under the Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic scheme, health facilities are reaching the people regularly through dedicated vehicles in Korea district surrounded by forest. At the same time, in urban areas also, the Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme has provided facilities at the doorsteps of the people. Medicines and surgical items are being made available to the people at subsidized rates under the Shri Dhanwantri Medical Store scheme. Under Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme, more than 15 thousand people got treatment in 6 months. In the 17 Haat Bazar clinics currently operating in the district, people got the benefit of free tests, treatment and medicines by 407 teams through 03 dedicated vehicles. From 01 April 2022 till now, a total of 30 thousand 899 people got the benefit of treatment and free medicines. 15 thousand 198 teams were provided by 208 teams in 09 haat bazaars operating in development block Baikunthpur and 199 teams in 08 haat bazaars of development block Sonhat and provided free medicines after treating 14 thousand 701 patients. The overall average OPD of Haat Bazar Clinic in the district is 76. Health facilities reaching door-to-door through Mukhyamantri Urban Slum Health Scheme- Under the scheme, health facilities are being provided to the people living in urban areas through mobile medical units in the district from April 02, 2022. So far, 8,861 patients have been benefited by MMU in 138 camps, out of which 7,189 patients were given essential free medicines and 4,010 patients got free lab tests. Out of which a total of 5,428 patients have been benefited in 86 camps set up in the Nagar Palika Parishad Baikunthpur area, out of which 4,426 patients were given essential free medicines and 2,490 patients underwent free lab tests, while 52 camps were organized by MMU in Shivpur Charcha area. A total of 3,433 patients have been benefited out of which 2,763 patients were given essential free medicines and 1,520 patients got free lab tests. Relief from expenditure on expensive medicines from Shri Dhanwantri Medical Store Scheme Under the ambitious scheme of Government of Chhattisgarh, under Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme, a total of 02 shops in the district are operated in Municipality Baikunthpur and Municipality Shivpur-Charcha. So far, 14615 beneficiaries have purchased medicines and surgical items worth Rs. In which 10,240 beneficiaries of Municipality Baikunthpur have bought medicines and surgical items worth Rs 7 lakh 3 thousand and 4,375 beneficiaries of Municipality Shivpur-Charcha have bought 60 thousand rupees. The total value of medicines purchased by the collector for the beneficiaries of various schemes in the district is Rs 86 lakh 19 thousand.
