Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey inaugurated the C-Mart at Bemetara district headquarters today by offering flowers to the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and offering prayers to her. Minister Shri Choubey congratulated and greeted the people of Bemetara district, especially the sisters of self-help groups, on this occasion. He said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, C-marts are being opened in the district headquarters in the first phase for marketing the products of women groups, so that high quality of clusters can be made available to the people at reasonable prices. Now the products being prepared by women’s groups in the state and district will be available for sale in C-Mart. After launching C-Mart, Minister Shri Choubey inspected the products of women’s groups for display and sale there. After this, she tasted the Chattigarhi dishes Chila, Phara, Typhari, Chausela prepared in Gadkaleva run by Ekta Mahila Self-Help Group Charbhata Bemetara and appreciated it and congratulated the women of the Self-Help Group. Shri Gurudayal Singh Banjare, MLA Bemetara Shri Ashish Chhabra, Collector Bemetara Shri Vilas Bhoskar Sandipan, Superintendent of Police Shri Dharmendra Singh, District Panchayat CEO Smt. Leena Mandavi, Municipality President Bemetara Shri Shakuntala Mangat Sahu, Sub-Divisional Revenue Officer Shri Durgesh Kumar Verma, Main Town Officers/employees including Municipal Officer Bemetara Hori Singh Thakur were present. It is worth mentioning that C-Mart stores are being started all over the state to provide organized market to women self-help groups for their handmade products in Gauthans set up in rural areas. This will help in making women groups financially capable. Various types of herbal soaps, pickles, spices, murrah, dona-pattal, cashew, different types of sherbet, dairy products of Devbhog, Korean herbal tea, lemon grass tea, made from different oils, made by women groups in C-mart store From Dishwasher, Toilet Floor Cleaner, Mushroom Powder, Honey, Tel-Jaggery, Desi Chana, Red Rice Poha, Chawal Atta to Besan Tikhur and other local food items are also available to the people. Apart from this, forest products like herbal products tamarind, harra, bahera, amla, honey are being sold. Handloom pots and other attractive cotton clothes can also be bought from C-Mart.
