Amritsar. The government has announced financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to the family of Road Safety Force (SSF) employee Harshveer Singh, who lost his life in a road accident two days ago in Bhawanigarh in Sangrur district of Punjab. Additionally, HDFC Bank will provide an additional Rs 1 crore to the family under life insurance. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared this information on his social media account He also wished for the speedy recovery of Mandeep Singh who was injured in the accident.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “A very unfortunate incident happened yesterday near Balad Kainchian of Bhawanigarh. The car of SSF soldiers on duty met with an accident. Employee Harshveer Singh died during treatment, and injured employee Mandeep Singh is undergoing treatment. We pray for his speedy recovery.”
The Chief Minister further said, “Our deepest condolences are with the family of Harshveer Singh. The government is committed to helping them. “The family will be given financial assistance of Rs 1 crore and HDFC Bank will provide a separate amount of Rs 1 crore under life insurance.”
