A successful 5-day Agri Carnival 2022 (Krishi Madai) was organized in the campus of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur under the joint aegis of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur and Farmtech Asia. In the Agri Carnival, under the guidance of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dantewada, women of 5 self-help groups put up technical exhibits and also organized a sales exhibition of self-made products. Women from Women Livelihood Complex Jhodiabadam, Mahila Utthan Self-Help Group Masodi, Indiravati Self-Help Group, Kasoli, Sai Baba Self-Help Group Haram participated in the Agri Carnival respectively. Rice varieties Jawaful, Bashahbhog and Navsingo were in demand among the products displayed in Madai. Laddoos and cakes made of Mahua and Tikhur ka Laddus and Tikhur cake displayed by the women of Dantewada in the stalls of non-woody and minor forest produce were the center of special attraction. On this occasion, a cake made from Mahua powder was cut by Vice Chancellor Dr. Girish Chandel during the stall visit. During the field visit, Dr. Vivek Tripathi Director Research Services, Dr. Ajay Verma Director Extension Services and the Dean and other scientists of the University were present with him. Four (chironji) plants are being prepared at Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The same was also exhibited at the stall, which was in great demand at the state level. The technology of herbal gulal production by Krishi Vigyan Kendra was also displayed separately in the stall. Which a huge number of people were interested to learn.
