Due to the efforts of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Center has given approval for purchase of Moong, Urad and Arhar at support price from Kharif season 2022-23 in Chhattisgarh. The Deputy Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India has issued a letter in this regard and directed the Managing Directors of the concerned central agencies to ensure implementation of the Price Support Scheme for the purchase of Moong, Urad and Arhar in Chhattisgarh. For Kharif season 2022-23, Moong 372 MT, Urad 6180 MT and Arhar 6342 MT will be procured in maximum quantity. It is worth mentioning here that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in the past, the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Chhattisgarh has informed the Central Government about the preparations being made for the cultivation of tur, urad, moong in the state, production, along with the estimated amount of procurement on support price. By sending detailed details, it was requested to approve the purchase. In Chhattisgarh, for the purchase of Arhar, Moong, Urad on support price in the Kharif season 2022-23, fast registration process is being done for its producer farmers in Integrated Farmer Registration. 20 warehouses of the warehouse have also been duly notified as procurement centres. The period for the purchase of urad and moong from 17 October to 16 December 2022 and tur from 13 March 2023 to 12 May 2023 has also been fixed by the government. Moong and urad will be procured from farmers at the rate of Rs 6600 per quintal and tur at the rate of Rs 7755 per quintal. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has also given complete exemption from payment of mandi fee and farmer welfare fee for the benefit of farmers and to encourage the purchase of moong, urad and tur. State warehouse warehouses in 20 districts have been identified as procurement and storage centers for the purchase of moong, urad and tur in the state. This warehouse of warehouse is certified by WRDA. The farmers of Balodabazar and Raipur district will be able to sell urad, moong and tur in the godown located at Bilaigarh on support price. Similarly, farmers in Gariaband and Dhamtari districts are in Gariaband, farmers in Mahasamund district in Basna, farmers in Durg and Balod districts, farmers in Thankhamharia in Bemetara district, Pandaria for Kabirdham, Rajnandgaon for Rajnandgaon district, Mungeli and Bilaspur districts. for Mungeli, Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi for Marwahi district, Bodasagar for Janjgir district, Balrampur-Ramanujganj district in Rajpur, Surajpur for Surajpur district, Ambikapur for Surguja district, Jashpur district Garden , Manendragarh for Korea district, Dantewada, Sukma, Bastar and Kondagaon for Kondagaon district, Kanker for Kanker district, Loharasingh-2 for Raigad district and farmers of Bijapur and Narayanpur district, Arhar on support price in the warehouse of Narayanpur.
